Super OS (formerly: Super Ubuntu) is just a modified version of Ubuntu 9.04 (see: Super OS and Ubuntu) with the goal of making it more usable and trying to remain compatible with Ubuntu.
Features compared to Ubuntu:
- Better Multimedia Support: VLC, support for DVD-playback, MP3 support and for other formats, like QuickTime video, Real video, Windows Media Video, Flash Video, DivX, Xvid, (.mov, .wmv, .flv, .avi, etc…) etc…
- Better Internet experience: aMSN, Opera, Firefox, Flash, Moonlight and Google Gears
- Portable Applications available (you need to install RUNZ – it will be included in the next release)
- Programs are easier to run: App Runner is included
- Other software: Java, Ubuntu Tweak, StartUp-Manager
- System beep is disabled
- NEW: Super OS now has it’s own repository, in addition to the official Ubuntu repositories

In my previous posting[1] I install Debian 5 because my computer can’t install Ubuntu. About two months ago, I know what the problem is. The problem is the motherboard have a little broken. I change the motherboard and I can install Ubuntu 8.10 & 9.04 ^_^. But I don’t have internet connection, because of this I can’t install software I needed, like wine, mp3 library, mp4 library, real media library, java & others. To do this I must go to warnet (internet rental) and much time to do this. I remember that we can buy DVD repository…..hm…that good idea to buy that.
I ask to “uncle google” and than I found site to sell DVD repository the site is “juragan kambing”[2] and have 6 DVD. The price Rp. 69.000,- + charges Rp. 8.000,- = Rp. 77.000,-. That cheap price, but I don’t have much money to buy that..wuakakakaaaa..ha..ha…ha…I must waiting he..he..he…he… Read the rest of this entry
